We started as a handful of gun violence survivors who lived together in a nursing home on Roosevelt Island. We grew into a group of artists working to protect and uplift our youth. We became local celebrities, performing our poetry and collaborating with other artists and community members to publish a book, drop an album, put on a play, make a film, and start a movement.
