The Lost Innocence
Theresa Williams
The life of a little girl will never be known
Her passion is lost because of humanity’s lack of compassion
Her life shattered by the bullets from the war
She knows nothing else but pain
Her innocence is lost as she tries to survive in a land full of tragedy
How can she be seen?
This is a child with no voice
Why should her early years of her life be filled with so much anguish?
Memories of her childhood is mired in misery
From the constant bombardment in a war
As she sees her parents die from the artillery guns
War has made this child an orphan
All she can do is sigh
Who will be the voice for a child with no voice?
