Wassup Fam! The first issue of The Collection, a virtual arts showcase featuring dope creative work that uplifts the voices of gun violence survivors, people with disabilities and their allies, was a success! We received so much beautiful artwork that shared artists’ voices of realness, resilience and healing.

Now we’re doing another call for submissions. The theme for our second issue of The Collection will be Isolation & Connection. This past year we’ve endured the incredible hardships of isolation, not seeing friends and family for months, not being able to travel and gather for birthdays and holidays. It has been especially hard for people who endured a year lockdown in nursing homes and other congregate facilities. It has also been a year of resilience where we’ve found creative ways to remain connected through Zoom parties, drive-by birthdays, and more. Show us your art and tell us your stories of this historic time. How did you stay connected? How did you cope with isolation?  What did you learn from this year of trials? Share with us your visual art, music, writing and videos about Isolation & Connection.

We look forward to seeing your art!

Peace and Love,
